Emily and Jared’s wedding in Nice, France, was nothing short of magical. Set against the stunning backdrop of the French Riviera, theirday was filled with timeless elegance and thoughtful details. When Emily reached outcommission a wedding painting, I knew immediately that this was a story I had to tell on canvas.
This wasn’t just any wedding—it was a celebration that blended the charm of the Côte d’Azur with Emily and Jared’s uniquely sophisticated style. From the grandeur of the ceremony to the intimate dinner overlooking the sea, the day unfolded like a dream.

THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE PAINTING
One of the most exciting aspects of this project was drawing inspiration from the French Riviera. The luminous colors of Nice—the turquoise waters, sunlit terraces, and lush greenery—felt like a natural extension of Emily and Jared’s vibrant love story.
Emily shared a selection of favorite moments she wanted to include in the painting: their heartfelt vows, the emotional speeches, and the way the golden hour light bathed their celebration. Knowing what she loved, I guided her in curating a vision for an heirloom piece that would encapsulate the beauty and emotion of their wedding day.

CAPTURING THE DETAILS THAT MATTER MOST
Creating a painting that feels as personal as it is beautiful is always my goal, and this piece was no exception. I worked closely with Emily to ensure the details that mattered most to her and Jared were front and center.
Their first dance under the soft glow of string lights became a central focus of the composition. Surrounding them, I added the laughter of their closest friends, the intricate floral arrangements that decorated the venue, and the elegant architecture of the French Riviera. Every brushstroke aimed to reflect the warmth and joy of their celebration.
THE REVEAL AND THEIR REACTION
When the painting was complete, I could hardly wait to share it with Emily and Jared. Seeing their faces light up as they unwrapped their custom artwork was a moment I won’t forget.
Emily told me, “It’s like reliving the best day of our lives every time we see this. You captured everything—the love, the light, the magic.” Knowing the painting now hangs in their home, serving as a daily reminder of their wedding day, is what makes this work so meaningful.
Emily was also kind enough to share her experience with me, and I’m so grateful for her thoughtful feedback.
