Live Wedding Painting for French Weddings
From Provence vineyards to Parisian ballrooms — your wedding deserves to be remembered as a work of art.

There’s something timeless about a French wedding.
Whether you’re saying “oui” in a sun-soaked vineyard in Provence or celebrating beneath the chandeliers of a château, one thing is certain: your day will be unforgettable.
A live painting captures that beauty — not just how it looked, but how it felt.
I’m Courtney Kibby, a fine artist specializing in live wedding painting, and I travel to France to paint weddings that feel like stories unfolding. My medium of choice is watercolor — soft, luminous, romantic — and my approach is grounded in hospitality, intention, and honoring what makes your day yours.
This is not just a painting.
It’s a legacy piece of art that lets you relive the moment again and again.

What’s Included in a Live Wedding Painting
When you hire me as your live wedding painter in France, you receive:
A custom watercolor painting (created live during your wedding day)
Professional-grade materials (including archival paper and high-end pigments)
Travel coordination and full setup (I bring everything I need)
Pre-event consultation to learn about your vision
Optional: guest portrait add-on for keepsake wedding favors
Each piece is completely original — no templates, no copies. It’s a one-of-a-kind reflection of your most important moment.

Traveling to France with My Art Supplies
You don’t have to worry about logistics — I’ve got that covered.
I fly with my easel, paper, and paints in a travel-safe setup. (That Pelican Case is everything.) Everything I bring is carry-on compliant and tailored for international weddings. I also build in time to arrive early, scout the venue, and align with your planner — so there are no surprises, just seamless beauty.

When I Paint (and How Long It Takes)
My live wedding painting typically begins 1–2 hours before the ceremony. I paint throughout cocktail hour and dinner, capturing key scenes — the moment you say “I do,” the dinner table under twinkle lights, or your first dance.
Depending on the size and complexity of the piece, I may finish onsite or add final touches in my studio. The result: a finished painting that reflects your day’s most meaningful moments.

Guest Portraits: An Unforgettable Favor
Want to make your French wedding even more memorable for your guests?
I offer live guest portrait sessions during the reception — small, 5×7 watercolor paintings that guests can take home the same night. These are especially loved at destination weddings, where couples want to gift their loved ones something meaningful (and frame-worthy).
Guest portraits also create a natural gathering point at your reception, giving guests something beautiful and unexpected to experience.

French weddings are often filled with movement — from ceremony to aperitifs to long dinners and dancing. I coordinate closely with your planner to ensure my setup and timing fit within your celebration, without creating any stress or disruption.
Your focus is to enjoy. Mine is to quietly observe and paint what matters most.
